At Old World Stained Glass, stained glass windows and beveled glass panels are custom crafted to our customer's specifications. All windows are handcrafted in the traditional "Lead Came" method a technique used by master craftsmen, for hundreds of years. In contrast, most stained glass companies that are less skilled use the far less expensive copper foil method. Lead came offers both strength and flexibility. Each individual piece of glass is hand puttied, creating a cushion, which protects the glass from cracking. Lead came further beautifies the window with neat and well defined lines, placing Old World Stained Glass stained glass and beveled glass windows in a class of their own.
